Commuting made better with new Park ‘n’ Ride Jamie Furness 2021-07-29 1 min read A brand-new Park and Ride facility at the Greenbank RSL is coming soon and is set to improve public transport for Logan West commuters. A media statement from the Department of Transport and Main Roads said the 21-million-dollar project would ease congestion and provide easier access to public transport for the community. The Park and Ride layout boasts 600 new car parks, including 14 accessible spaces, lights and CCTV cameras for safety. It includes a new platform, bus shelter and bike shelters, as well as a “kiss and ride” drop-off zone and bus driver amenities. The upgrade comes with a new linking road in Hillcrest connecting Corporate Place to Blackwell Street, and an additional bus layover for commuters. The Department of Transport and Main Roads said the project was well underway, with the upgrades expected to be completed by the end of the year.
