A Logan West construction business is offering several job opportunities to support the Logan community and provide a way for residents to work locally.

Beenleigh Steel Fabrications, located in the Crestmead industrial area has been involved with some of Australia’s most iconic structures, including the original revamping of the Gabba, it’s recent refurbishment, and the Suncorp Stadium.

BSF also fabricated the steel for the Metricon and Robina Stadiums on the Gold Coast, and the new stadium in Townsville.

Company Director Anthony Stoeckert said there would be many people living in Logan who would meet the company’s growing needs, and was keen to hear from local people.

“BSF is entering a new era and we need apprentices, tradespeople and professionals to enable us to meet the requirements of the growing construction industry.

“We have good strong contracts taking us well into the future, so we can offer job security as well as skill training and development,” Mr Stoeckert said.

BSF is seeking to employ apprentice candidates between the ages of 16 and 25 who have completed grade 10 with sound achievements.

They are also seeking mature-aged apprentices to help them secure their own futures and those of their families, as well as skilled boilermakers and welders.

There would be job opportunities in other roles such as estimators, design managers, document controllers and other admin roles.

“BSF has an exciting future, as does Logan, and we are keen to work with others in the community to bring this about,” Mr Stoeckert said.

“I would encourage interested people to view our videos to get a feel for the type of work we do by visiting our website.”
