Since being sworn in, inApril, what a journey we have been on as a new Council with our Induction Process, Post Election Meeting, Committee Meetings, Ordinary Council Meetings and Budget Meetings and all of the other briefing meetings.

As a new Councillor, I appreciate the community being patient with us while we find our feet navigating Council processes, but with restrictions being eased, we are able to engage more with our community, and I am looking forward to having ‘Coffee with a Councillor’ in the future in various parts of Division 11.

Since being elected, I have had dumped rubbish removed, attended the Flagstone Community Centre Opening, organized to have many overhanging trees trimmed from roads and properties, removed old and outdated signs and replaced/ing with new signs, investigated resident concerns with parks, paths and equipment, roads and developers concerns. Had a ‘No Right Turn’ put into Covella’s second entrance, had a bin installed at the Pub Lane bus stop, requested more bins and seats/shelters on our bus route, had potholes repaired, fences repaired, visited the newly opened Logan Art Gallery to see New Beith Resident Mary Barron’s ‘Lace’ exhibition, encouraged groups/clubs in the area to apply for LCC Funding via CGF and met with residents and community groups and much more.

My journey as your Councillor has only just begun, and I love every minute of it. I can’t wait to meet more community members and groups. Stop me and say, ‘Hi’, if you see me. If you would like to contact me regarding something in Division 11 or Logan City, please email division11@logan.qld.gov.au or nataliewillcocks@logan.qld.gov.au, and I will be in contact with you within 48 hours.
