The importance of living a healthy lifestyle has been front and centre in 2020 but did you know that free and affordable health advice is available in your community?

InSports Logan is hosting free seminars on nutrition to highlight the impact that nutrition has on our health. They are also running programs for Weight Education and Management every Tuesday from 6pm-7 pm for just $5. And for diabetes sufferers, or those at risk of developing diabetes, inSports is running a Diabetes Education and Maintenance program for $5 Thursdays 6pm-7pm. These programs run until 15 December (the last Weight Management program for 2020) and 17 December ( the last Diabetes Program for 2020 )and are led by inSports’ accredited exercise physiologists. You don’t need to be an inSports member to join and people of all ages and abilities are invited to attend.

The next nutrition seminar will be held at Logan North: Friday November 20th at 6pm

December nutrition seminar will be held at Logan Metro Sports and Events Centre: Friday December 11th at 6pm

Topics to be covered include

• Calories in vs Calories out
• If you’re not tracking, you’re guessing

• How to read labels
• Protein, Carbs and Fats and why they are important

• Whole food approach vs Fad diet • Portion sizes
