As a new step in Logan’s economic recovery, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk and Member for Logan Linus Power have announced a big new investment in Logan schools.
The announcement included $21 million for more classrooms built at Yarrabilba State School and $2 million for a brand new administration building at Park Ridge State School.
This investment is on top of the new school for Greenbank-North Maclean that will be opening for students in 2022 and the air-conditioning of Logan state schools.
Logan MP Linus Power said he was pleased to see more new funding going towards schools in his electorate.
“As a former teacher I want to see local students get the great education facilities they deserve”
“This funding is great news for Yarrabilba but also for local tradies who can work on these projects,” he said.
“The massive $21 million investment in new classrooms at Yarrabilba State School is a really welcome announcement, given how fast this school is growing.
“And because our area is growing, we’re committed to get planning started to build more new schools including a new primary school for Yarrabilba, a secondary school in Logan Reserve and a new secondary school for Greater Flagstone and continuing planning for a new primary school in Logan Reserve.
“By investing in new and upgraded school infrastructure we are providing world-class education facilities for Queensland students.
