Local Leaders wish Logan West a Happy New Year!!
Well 2020 was a bit of bumpy ride, but across Logan West it has been inspiring to watch our community rise to the occasion and face it with compassion, resilience and entrepreneurial zeal. Local leaders regularly reported how people in their sphere of influence were coming up with new ways to care for the people around them and do what they could to help those in need.
It’s with this same sense of hope and optimism that we step into 2021 with a renewed faith in our fellow man and a determination to make this a year to remember for all the right reasons.
Councillor Tim Frazer (Div7)
“I hope January of 2021 will be a time for us to reflect on the past year and how lucky and blessed we are to live in such a great community and country. I wish all of the residents of Logan a very happy, safe and restful New Year.”
Councillor Jacob Heremaia (Div8)
I’d like to extend my best wishes to you, your family and your friends during this holiday season. I will be spending time with my family and going on walks with my pet beagle, Lucy. Happy New Year!
Councillor Natalie Willcocks (Div11)
I hope everyone has been able to rest and recharge at some point during the holiday season so, I would like to wish all residents a very happy and safe New Years and as you are, I am looking forward to 2021. Have a terrific Australia Day, however you celebrate! I know that I will probably be in or close to a pool somewhere in Division 11 with friends and family!
Linus Power MP (Logan)
Happy New Year! After such a tumultuous 2020 world wide, a Happy New Year is what we all deserve. I think that there is good that can come from what we all achieved in 2020. We all worked together to defeat a virus that has done so much more damage in so many other countries.
It shows that as Australians working as one, we can achieve so much. We can also reflect on what is really important to us – family, community and looking after each other. So although 2020 was so tough for so many, I think we can be confident that our community can continue to remain strong together in 2021.
Leanne Enoch MP (Algester)
Wishing you and your family, a happy, safe, and successful New Year! 2020 has been a challenging and unprecedented year but we’ve been able to stick together and come out stronger than ever. I look forward to continuing to work hard with our local community in 2021.
Bert van Manen MP (Forde)
“I want to thank everyone for their efforts this year to build stronger communities despite the COVID-19 pandemic. I wish that in 2021 we can continue to build our connections in less difficult circumstances.”
