Ken Glass Swimming began in his back yard at Greenbank and then moved to Park Ridge State School Pool in 2008 which he still runs all his classes from now. He caters from 12 months old through to learn to swim, and when you are more advanced, he teaches Squads as well. You can find more information on Ken through his Facebook page Ken Glass Swimming.

Alisha’s Story
Alisha started learning to swim at the age of 2. By the age of 5, Alisha was talking about wanting to compete like the big kids in the squad team.

Age 7 she got her chance when she was chosen to represent the school in an inter-school swim competition and placed 1st in her first-ever 50m Freestyle race. From this moment the love for swimming was cemented, and Alisha was training regularly with her coach Ken and friends at Logan West Community Swim Club. Alisha has completed in many meets continually growing and smashing her PB’s. 2020 was a big year for Alisha and her swimming as she was ten and able to finally try out for the Met West Team. Alisha made it into the regional championships which she was so excited for. She worked on freestyle and butterfly at training and got through to the state Championships for 50m Freestyle relay, 50m Medley relay and 100m butterfly.
