Logan West Community Swim Club is a local community-based swimming club that began in 2012 and runs out of the Park Ridge State School Pool on Friday nights 5:30-8pm for school terms 4 & 1.

We are a family-friendly club with approximately 39 members ranging in ages from 5 years old through to 17 years old and cater for all levels of swimming. We believe the younger ones enjoy the atmosphere and support they receive from our seniors.

Some of our swimmers also go to other race meets to represent our club for swimming. They will travel as far as Bundaberg, Darling Downs, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim, Gold Coast and around Brisbane.

The club has a new committee for this swimming season 2020/2021 that are working hard in the background to make sure our club will be COVID19 compliant when our season starts again which will hopefully be the start of term 4.

Our club can not run without all our volunteers that every Friday night put their hands up to make sure the kids have a fun and memorable night. Like our Facebook Page to stay up-to-date.

Lauren’s Story
Lauren started swimming relatively late at age 11, but she has been a consistent trainer, doing squad six times a week and competing in lots of weekend meets. She has taken out Age Champion three years in a row at the Park Ridge Swimming Carnival and has represented her club at the Brisbane and Queensland Sprint Championships in 2019 and 2020.

Lauren has been awarded a Junior Excellence Award by Swimming Queensland in the last two years and also received the McDonalds Swim Star Award from her club last year.

For all of the medals, trophies and other awards she has received, the thing that Lauren enjoys most is having fun training and competing with her friends.
