Logan Jobs is an online hub for people finding jobs and employers seeking workers.

The website can be used to search for jobs, training and volunteering opportunities.

Resources are also available for assistance with preparing for applications and interviews, advice for job seekers, and support services for self-employment or starting your own business.

A graph posted by Mayor Darren Power on Facebook demonstrated that in June 2021, a total of 639 job vacancies were advertised in Logan.

Manufacturing and industrial jobs, including warehousing, had the highest number of vacancies, with 119 positions advertised.

Mr Power said these job opportunities, which were rising in Logan, could involve tasks such as “picking and packing, dispatch, loading and unloading containers and trucks, operating pallets and driving forklifts.”

Trades and services ranked as the second highest industry for job vacancies with around 115 positions advertised.

Jobs in other industries including retail, health, construction, education, charity, hospitality, administration and sales each advertised between 25-35 jobs.
