Park Ridge Business Connects’ monthly breakfast received overwhelming support in March, with one hundred community members attending the event.

The March breakfast was kindly hosted by Marsden State High School, which provided facilities and student-catering for the event.

The morning began with a welcome by school captains Leen El Moussa and Elenoa Tuihalangingie, who did an excellent job as Marsden’s hosts.

As a bonus, free breakfast was provided, served by the school’s hospitality students. Live music performances were also given by talented students and prizes were up for grabs at the spinning wheel.

Park Ridge Connect director Mr Paul Jackson appreciates Marsden’s kind contribution.

‘The students and staff did themselves proud. Guests were raving about the quality of these young people all morning. They were confident, helpful and hospitable.’

School Executive Principal Andrew Peach addressed the assembly on the morning.

‘Thank you very much for taking the time to come in this morning. It’s provided a great opportunity for our students in hospitality to be able to support you today. Our school captains who are hosting this and the range of students that are here are getting real world industry experience.’

Park Ridge Business Connect aims to build community connections between businesses and thereby create new opportunities for growth and collaboration in the process.

The monthly breakfasts are informal, with an emphasis on connecting with one another over a meal.

The breakfast has grown steadily in popularity since the start of 2019, when it a small gathering of fifteen to twenty regulars. Mr. Jackson was thrilled by the huge turnout.

‘It’s so good to see local business owners creating real connections and support for one another,’ he says. ‘The room was full of smiles, conversations, and new connections.’
