Two phone surveys will be conducted in coming weeks to give Logan residents an opportunity to comment on their satisfaction with Council services, facilities and customer service.

The 2020 Logan Listens: Residents’ Survey will be broken into two separate research pieces, with 800 residents set to be asked about services and facilities, and another 800 residents to be questioned on their thoughts about customer service.

Logan City Council City Governance Committee Chairperson, Councillor Lisa Bradley, said it was important that the organisation and elected members heard feedback directly from residents.

“Community consultation is a top priority for us as councillors and a major focus for how Council operates,” Cr Bradley said.

“The Logan Listens survey helps us understand how the community ranks the importance of the services delivered by Council, as well as their satisfaction in how those services are delivered.

“This helps us with planning and decision making for future priorities, and also where we need to make improvements.

“If we hear feedback that something is particularly important to the community, then we should be focusing on that.”

IRIS Research will begin phoning residents from Monday, September 21, and will call both landlines and mobile phones to capture feedback from a range of demographics. The surveys will take about 10 minutes to complete.

“I encourage residents to take the time to complete the survey if they are called as the information will be invaluable for making the City of Logan a better place to live,” Cr Bradley said.

The survey has been conducted since 2010. Council will publish the 2020 survey results on its website when they become available.
