ENVIRONMENT
How will you navigate the tension between more people moving into the area and the needs of wildlife and the environment?
By having the ideal of “liveable community” at the forefront of any decision making in that Council works to ensure that any development supports and considers housing, employment, amenities and transportation.

The Logan Planning Scheme and State Planning Policy are the frameworks which we must work within, engagement and communication with the community forms a key requirement of stakeholder engagement as local communities’ best understand the nuances of their area.
TRANSPORT
What are the highest priority transport services and infrastructure you will be advocating for in your division?
Passenger Rail. The Salisbury to Beaudesert Passenger rail is currently not slated until 2041. This is a vital piece of heavy transportation that is required to ease congestion on Mount Lindesay Hwy and Browns Plains Road, Waller Road and Middle Road from the “rat runners” avoiding Mt Lindesay Hwy. Key to the Passenger Rail service will be a shuttle services to bus interchanges at Park Ridge, Greenbank RSL park and ride and Grand Plaza.
INFRASTRUCTURE SPENDING
What can Division 7, 8, 9 & 11 councillors do to assure more of the city budget is invested in the west?
By standing up for the community by Fighting for and engaging positively with other Councillors to Champion projects to ease our congestion problems to allow our residents to get to where they are going as quick as they can. This includes doing the little things well like ensuring that our footpath network is well maintained and connected to our key community points.
FREE HIT
What do you think is the most important issue facing your division and how will you respond to it?
Inland rail. Currently an average of 8 trains using this line per day. The Inland Rail project plan is to increase the trains to 44 trains per 24 hour which is a train every 30 minutes of a combination of double stacked freight containers and uncovered coal trains. In addition, there must be constructed passing loops about 2km long that are currently planned in the corridor between Forestdale/ Hillcrest and Flagstone, all high density suburbs.
GENERAL
What is one thing you’d like to achieve during your first term as councillor?
There would be two;
1 – Restore dignity to Logan City Council and regain the trust of the City.
2 – Work with local police to identify and reduce the prevalence of hooning and to seek and win damages against hoons for the repairs to Council infrastructure and assets that they have damaged.
GENERAL
How can residents in your division be involved and empowered to solve local problems together with council?
If elected I intend to spend as much time in the community as possible in mobile offices and generally being available and not be bunkered down in Wembley Road. I would also like to see community members being able to present Deputations to Councillors. A Deputation is a presentation from a person or representative of a group of persons or an organisation in order to address Council on a particular matter.

What qualities, experience or skills make you stand out as a candidate?
With a diverse career in the building industry having developed many skills in Project Management and Site Management across Civil, Residential and Commercial Construction combined with my experience in serving our community in a voluntary capacity, I am best placed to be our next Councillor to envisage, collaborate and deliver what our community expects to ensure this is the best place to live, work and raise a family.
