Police arrested a 38-year-old Regents Park man on Wednesday 1 September 2021 for offences related to the possession of dangerous drugs and items used in conjunction with drug offences.
Policed executed a search warrant at the property and seized a number of items including 58 cannabis plants, cannabis seeds, cannabis leaves, coffee grinders, bongs and glass smoking pipes, used syringes, scales and a lock picking tool.
The man was charged with seven offences and is due to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on 29 September 2021.
Browns Plains Police senior sergeant Michael Leafe said it would be alleged that the accused man;
- produced a dangerous drug
- had possession of dangerous drugs
- supplied a dangerous drug,
- had possession of smoking utensils,
- possessed items used in conjunction with a drug’s offence,
- possessed house-breaking implements.
The arrest was part of the Browns Plains police force’s efforts to continue to enforcement action against criminal activity in the local area.
Browns Plains Police Station senior constable Glen Williams said the team would continue to investigate drug-related offences to curb drug use and supply in the Browns Plains area.
“The ongoing support and assistance provided by the public to identify illegal drug activity in the local area is sincerely appreciated,” he said.
“All credible information will be investigated, and I encourage anyone with drug information in the Browns Plains area to contact Crime Stoppers.”
