On Sunday, December 22, Hillcrest Neighbourhood Watch, with the help of Browns Plans Police, had the very special job of spreading Christmas Cheer with assistance from Santa and Mrs Clause who delivered lollies to the local kids (big, small and furry) of Hillcrest.
In its eighth year, the much anticipated and highly popular Santa Lolly Drive, was coordinated by the volunteers of Hillcrest Neighbourhood Watch (NHW) and is supported by Browns Plains Police Station and local businesses.
Due to the overwhelming success of the previous year which saw the entourage undertake a larger journey, Santa was once again happy to oblige Hillcrest NHW with their plan to cover more of the Hillcrest Community, which saw this year’s route mirror 2018’s.
Santa was given a special entourage at this year’s event with support from the ever-popular ‘Vyv the Viking’ police all-terrain vehicle.
Santa and his helpers were met with a large audience who took to social media to give an overwhelming positive response commending the Hillcrest NHW and the Browns Plains Police for their efforts in supporting the local community.
All photographs taken from the Santa drive will be made available on Hillcrest NHW social media.
Thank you to all the local businesses that help make the Santa Drive happen without whose support these events could not occur.
