I recently received an invitation to attend the Kidzco Early Learning Centre on Middle Rd, Hillcrest as two members of staff were ‘brave and did the shave’.
Miss Amy (the centre manager) and Mr Adam were participating in the Worlds Greatest Shave to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation to continue the ongoing research into blood cancer. The Leukaemia Foundation has a brave goal “Zero lives lost to blood cancer by 2035”.
The kindy kids were all a part of the audience, and a little puzzled about what was happening.
I had the honour of taking the first cut of Miss Amy’s hair. She was so nervous, shaking and perspiring as I took hold of her hair and began sliding the shavers through.
One of the awesome parents, who is also a hairdresser, volunteered her services to complete the cut.
